What is a No Surprises Act (NSA)?
The No Surprises Act went into effect on January 1, 2022. The policy protects consumers from unanticipated and expense bills for out-of-network treatment by requiring mandatory estimates of costs before services are rendered.

The No Surprises Act went into effect on January 1, 2022. The policy protects consumers from unanticipated and expense bills for out-of-network treatment by requiring mandatory estimates of costs before services are rendered.
This NSA requires providers (state-licensed psychotherapists) to provide a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) to their clients. In addition, the NSA includes notifying the clients of the right to receive a GFE of the cost of treatment.
There are several factors to consider that determine the number of sessions you need to complete your therapeutic treatment. The actual total costs of your services are based on how many psychotherapy sessions you attend, individual needs/circumstances, and what you agree to in consultation with me. I will provide you with an estimate of the costs of services provided.
If you choose to meet for the free 15-minute zoom video consultation, I will provide a verbal (GFE). Furthermore, I will give you the written and verbal GFE during intake. You can then access it through the Simple Practice portal; finally, I will provide my current clients with a written and verbal GFE.
